With no warning, a slip and then a fall, a serious illness or a stroke: it can happen to anyone, and in an instant your life and the way you go about living has changed.

Due to so many advances in our lifetime, the National Center for Health Statistics reports that two million people survive some form of trauma every year. And often with survival comes some level of disability. This is why rehabilitation has become so important in healthcare. It often helps define the quality of life after trauma.
